Work from home jobs in demand for 2022 and why WFH is the future

No one could have imagined how a global pandemic would dramatically alter our lives and ways of working. As the pandemic subsides, the workspace is seeing an acceleration in the evolution of future employment as many companies consider a new hybrid virtual model that combines remote and on-site work, with some employees working on site and others working from home.

After more than a year of remote work operations, employers are increasingly adapting to the new work structure. As a result, companies are seeing greater productivity and investing in better technology to enable more workers to work from home.

In addition to manual search methods on job boards, programmatic advertising technology works with a network of job boards and websites to bid for ad space on behalf of the business. The technology uses predictive data and advanced algorithms to help companies reduce costs, streamline job postings, target the right candidates and maximize return on investment.

Beyond digital transformation and remote work, skills have become a basic necessity as skills have always been a factor in hiring decisions. Skills will be the most important hiring criteria in 2022. In 2022, only 18% of tech recruiters plan to use psychological testing as part of the hiring process, compared to 68% in 2019.

Rise in demand for work from home options

According to a Talent Works survey of hiring managers across the United States, the pandemic has prompted a rethink in recruiting. Remote work has replaced geography as a major hiring criterion, with 90% of senior executives expected to work from home. As a result, 76% of US organizations are more likely to employ out of town or even out of state.

The nature of job postings has changed thanks to the programmatic model. He has helped companies reduce expenses, streamline job postings, attract the best candidates and maximize return on investment.

A programmatic solution saves recruiting departments time and automates the process, allowing companies to make data-driven decisions about advertising spend. According to Aptitude Research, 90% of organizations using programmatic job postings continue to invest or plan to increase spending this year. Programmatic job postings allow for precise targeting, making the process more transparent, delivering better results, and providing insight into where employers are spending their money.

When it comes to employees, according to a survey, 66% of remote workers feel they are more productive now than they were when working on-site at a company. 75% of respondents also said that being able to work from anywhere helps them better organize their lives.

Reasons why working from home is the future

Employees around the world want to see companies prioritize flexibility, competitive compensation and well-being once the pandemic passes. Since switching to remote work, 68% of companies say employee productivity has increased. According to a survey, 77% of people who work remotely at least a few times a month have increased their productivity, with 30% getting more work done in less time and 24% getting more work done in the same amount of time.

Importantly, teleworkers claimed that working from home allows them to concentrate better because there are no common distractions in offices, such as frequent phone calls, hustle and bustle, vines and unproductive work environments.

  • Reduced carbon footprint

Numerous studies have praised working from home for its environmental benefits while reducing a company’s overall carbon footprint, ranging from reducing carbon emissions caused by commuting to minimizing significant office waste. In fact, according to Sun Microsystems research, commuting accounts for 98% of an employee’s carbon footprint.

The number of harmful gases emitted by power plants is reduced when people use less energy. This contributes to the conservation of natural resources, the protection of ecosystems, the slowing down of global warming and the improvement of air quality.

According to some reports, there has been a significant growth in the number of people who want to work remotely, more frequently than before, regardless of their commuting time. Even among those who live within 15 minutes of the office, 73.1% now want to work remotely at least once a week, up from 35.8% previously.

  • Mental health and emotional well-being

It is hoped that 2022 will bring mental health, emotional well-being and empathy to the fore. Business leaders will face these challenges after watching people fall ill at home for two years, withdraw from socializing and struggle with fear and anxiety. This may include therapy appointments for the employee and their family, fitness and wellness facility passes, mental health apps and platforms, extra days off, no Zoom days and company-wide weeks off for everyone to unwind.

Allowing employees to work from home has resulted in better talent retention and less turnover. This is an important benefit that companies are now considering. Working from home can help retain single parents and highly skilled people who cannot commute daily.

According to a study by Prodoscore, it was found that, on average, those who work from home spend 10 fewer minutes per day being unproductive, work one more day per week, and are 47% more productive. Another Standford study of 16,000 workers over 9 months found that working from home increased productivity by 13%. Employee productivity, retention, and confidence are all enhanced by remote working, which allows employees to better balance work and personal obligations, resulting in happier employees and more productive teams.

  • Increase in remote opportunities

For the first time during the pandemic, businesses have seen what a working-from-home workforce looks like. When a business is conducted online, the audience expands, necessitating the hiring of a more international workforce. Rather than searching locally, companies can now search globally for ideal individuals. So, if someone resides in Eastern Europe or Southeast Asia, they now have the opportunity to work for large American companies that pay well and can improve their standard of living.

Due to the competitive nature of the job market, working from home is becoming increasingly popular. Surveys show that homeworkers are less likely to take sick leave. Studies of life in Canada show that teleworkers get an average of just 1.8 sick days per calendar year, while office workers get more than 3.1 days. These indicators strongly suggest that working from home is the future of work.
