The role

This position will lead a program of methodological research in an area related to the aims of the institute to improve rural and regional health in west central NSW and internationally. This role will also provide statistical support for systematic reviews and primary research (e.g. clinical trials, cohort studies, cross-sectional surveys) within the institute and assist with workshops and conferences.

This position would ideally suit someone with several years of experience in biostatistics and knowledge and experience in the design and analysis of systematic reviews and primary research, in particular randomized trials, cohort studies and cross-sectional surveys.

To be successful, you will:

  • A doctoral degree relevant to the discipline, or equivalent accreditation and status.
  • A national and/or international level academic achievement record.
  • Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of the disciplinary field concerned and recognized as a leading authority nationally and internationally.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and building strong partnerships, networks and relationships.
