Under the close supervision of the supervisor, assists in the receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of supplies, materials and equipment, as well as supporting activities associated with the maintenance planning for the division of production. The wizard maintains critical maintenance data to include asset structure, job hardware requirements, and maintenance plans to effectively manage system assets.
Assist in the receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of supplies, materials and equipment by:
- Ensure that SAP EAM data is accurate, sufficiently detailed and updated in a timely manner. Create and maintain functional locations, equipment and associated master data entries, equipment bill of materials, maintenance task list and plans. Review notifications and work orders for completeness and accuracy to ensure required data has been entered by maintenance personnel to include planned and actual costs, resource requirements and schedules. root cause analysis. Support engineering staff in maintaining plant information library including project submissions, training videos, operation and maintenance manuals and record drawings. Helps plant maintenance personnel locate documents. Assist the maintenance planner or the main maintenance planner in planning material resources. Obtain quotes from vendors and generate purchase requisitions. Work closely with Purchasing staff to ensure that the maintenance organization has the necessary equipment to carry out maintenance activities. Receipt of purchased materials or services and issuance of materials for work orders. Generate standard quotes to create new maintenance material requirements information (Material Master). Picking and distributing materials from stock to plant personnel. Loading and unloading of trucks. Unpacking and storage of materials and supplies. Check the quality of materials and supplies received. Check that all orders correspond to packing lists and purchase orders or similar documents. Inventory receipt and issue in SAP. Participation in the annual inventory. Ensure warehouse vehicles, equipment and facilities are maintained and operated in accordance with acceptable practices. Plan and organize the warehouse for efficient storage of materials and equipment. Replace the basic function of the maintenance planner or the main maintenance planner in their absence. Perform other assigned or required duties.
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or two years of related experience and two years of related work experience at the college level in warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, repair and operations or any equivalent combination of education, experience and knowledge. Working knowledge of warehousing and inventory practices Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe, SharePoint) and ability to learn software applications quickly. Opportunity to obtain Microsoft Excel certification within one year. Experience as an end user using business process relational database software, preferably a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as SAP EAM. Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to do basic arithmetic calculations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment. Possession of a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Forklift operator certification is required within 6 months of hire. Ability to work overtime as needed. Must pass a controlled substance (drug) test.
