Work, Tourism, Assenso! Philippines Tourism Job Fair

A TOTAL of 7,510 vacancies in 147 establishments spread over the three main sites among accommodation establishments, travel and tour services, facilities and organizers of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, tourist transport operators, health and wellness services, catering / catering and other tourism-related establishments from September 16 will be open to interested candidates during the first edition of the job fair.

A total of 3,367 jobs from the National Capital Region (NCR), Calabarzon and Mimaropa will be offered during the Manila leg, while Cebu and Davao will open 1,633 and 2,510 jobs from Visayas and Mindanao respectively.

“As the DoT continues to work towards President Bongbong Marcos’ vision for tourism to make a major contribution to our country’s economic resurgence, we fully understand the need to respond to this with efforts to strengthen the workforce of the tourism and allied industry.We could not be more grateful enough to the DoLE, local government units and all of our private sector partners who have supported us in this important endeavor to bring back lost jobs and present a multitude new job opportunities and greener pastures in the tourism industry for our Filipino compatriots,” Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco added.

The Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso! The Philippines Tourism Job Fair opened from September 22-24.

The Manila leg of the job fair will coincide with the Hotel Suppliers Fair, after Global-Link MP, one of the private sector partners of the Department of Transportation (DoT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE).
