American actor and singer Robert Morse has died at the age of 90, his son Charlie announced on Wednesday.

The Broadway actor and two-time Tony winner’s career spanned more than 60 years and he was well known for his role as Bert Cooper in the hit American drama Mad Men.

The actor is survived by his wife Elizabeth Roberts and his children, Charlie Morse, Robin Morse, Hilary Morse and Andrea Doven.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Robert Morse was worth $5 million in 2022.

In high school, he began appearing as an actor and director in school shows before his big debut in 1949 as Gabey in the musical On the city.

Robert rose to prominence as an actor, voiceover actor and singer, receiving multiple Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2010.

Inside his career and achievements

Robert’s acting career spanned over 60 years and the star appeared in 100 television, film and theater productions.

He became famous for his role in the 1961 Broadway production and 1967 film How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He received a Tony Award for his role on Broadway.

The legendary actor went on to win his second Tony Award for playing the role of Truman Capote in the 1989 production of the play. True.

He also won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Capote in the anthology television series American Theater.

During his passage on Mad Men, Robert has been nominated three times for an Emmy in the Best Guest Actor category. He received five Emmy nominations for his iconic role as Bert Cooper.

When the series came out, Robert gave the audience one of his most magnificent performances, which is undoubtedly a favorite scene for many fans.

I had so much fun hanging out with Bobby over the years – filming People v OJ and organize many screenings (How To Succeed, Loved One, That’s Life), “wrote Larry Karaszewski in a tribute on Twitter.

“Farewell to Robert Morse, who passed away at the age of 90. Known for his Broadway musicals, he had a fitting finale for his run in Mad Men,” Louise Penn wrote.

“So disgusted to hear that Robert Morse has died, he was phenomenal in Mad Men,” read another tribute on Twitter.
